End of the summer fun

Finally, the summer is winding down. Just a few days separate me and my kids from the joy of school. I will admit, school is more fun for me right now then them!

Most Wednesday's we go to the park with friends from church. The school district provides a sack lunch to each child between the ages of 1-18. So we go and enjoy each others company while the kids play and not eat. The boys love it because of all the freedom they have to just run and play. NO ADULTS! Okay, well, we are there, but we are busy having our own fun!

Us Mom's talking

I got some of the kids to stop running long enough to take this picture!

Katie loved to play on the slide

The last two weeks of July the kids took swimming lessons at a local pool. Eric really enjoyed it, but as you can see from the picture, Josh not so much. But he is willing to go back and learn some more. I am hoping that the Olympic swimmers will inspire him to try harder.

Last night each boy was able to have a friend over to spend the night. They stayed up late watching Transformers, eating popcorn and sour patch kids. They had a lot of fun amd very little sleep.

And tomorrow is the start of the Olympics! We love the Olympics and are having a party at our house with family to watch the opening ceremonies. I am excited that the boys are old enough to watch and enjoy the Olympics. I hope that they enjoy them as much as Brandon and I do!
