Independence Day

Our 4th of July was pretty quiet. We chilled at home until Brandon got off of work and then we headed to Grandma and Papa's. We had an excellent dinner of ribs, corn on the cob and homemade cheesecake. yuuummmy!

Then the boys (Papa, Eric, Josh) played with the fireworks. Papa decided that Eric was old enough to light them...

I can't imagine a noise that would bother J enough to get him to cover his ears. He was being silly.

Katie wanted to play with other toys. She was not overly impressed with the fireworks. It was her that was not liking the noise.

After the activities the boys stayed with Grandma and Papa to watch the cities firework show while Brandon, Kate and I went home and to bed. In my opinion, the perfect way to end any holiday, SLEEP!

Happy 4th of July!

For the 4th of July holiday we went to Brandon's brother's house to be with their family, his parents and and some friends from church. We had a BIG barbecue, which was good because there were A LOT of people. After some seriously yummy food, the wives became RISK widows.
Even Eric and the oldest Dunno boy participated in the game. I, for one, do not understand the attraction of the game. While the husbands played, the kids went for a ride on the slip-n-slide. Even Katie decided that it looked fun and went in. Sadly I was unable to get a good picture of her in it.

Here are Eric and Josh outside just as we were starting the fireworks. Don't they look cute! All buddy buddy. In a raffle at work Brandon won some fireworks. We had been unclear as to what we had in there until last night. WOW! They were seriously the best fireworks that we had ever had! Thank you Comcast! No pictures though, I spent the time enjoying the show. Poor Katie, she missed the fun because she wasn't feeling to good and so I had put her to sleep.
I had gotten the kids cute little 4th outfits, but I never got them together to take a picture. So here is Katie in her outfit. I had her wear it last Sunday to church.

Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny brought the kids rice krispie nest this year, instead of baskets. This is something that I remember getting as a kid and I always liked it. We also gave the boys a little something. Eric got two new books and Josh a sand craft.

Here they are in their new Easter clothes! What a beautiful bunch of kids!

After church the Piñon families came over. We had a wonderful Easter dinner and the kids had an Easter egg hunt.

And this year we combined Easter with Grandpa Piñon and Aunt Marissa's birthday, which is tomorrow. Happy Birthday!!
